Description

The view of St Mary's Church tower in Kettlewell at the foot of Top Mere Road with the patchwork fields in upper Wharfedale beyond. The dry stone wall flanked bridleway is an ancient green lane which farmers have accessed the fells which flank Buckden Pike with their animals for centuries. It is still used by farmers to take sheep up onto the fells. Photograph by Tony Johnson. 3rd September 2
