A derelict barn on the landscape among the farms with the scars of Cononley Mine behind on the hillside in North Yorkshire. Mining has existed in the area since the medieval period but this mine opened about 1842. Several buildings survive from this time, including the engine house and chimney, gunpowder magazine, and forge, each of which are Grade II listed. Production peaked at 804 tons in 185
